About our house cleaners in Archway, Hornsey N19 – London

Archway
The name derives from the arch built between Highgate and Hornsey in 1896. Until quite recently, Archway did not designate a specific area. Most people referred either to Highgate, Islington or Upper Holloway, a name that is now used for little besides the nearby railway station and the post office.
Hornsey
Hornsey is a district in London Borough of Haringey in north London in England. Whilst Hornsey was formerly the name of a parish and later a municipal borough of Middlesex, today, the name refers only to the London district. The name Hornsey originated from a Saxon chieftain named Haering; ‘Haering’s Hege was Haering’s enclosure. It shares this derivation with Haringey which is a modern variant now applied more specifically to the Borough.
Tufnell Park
Tufnell Park Road runs along the line of an old Roman road which stretches from the Roman camp beneath Barclays Bank and Batten’s Carpets on the Holloway Road up Dartmouth Hill and over Hampstead Heath. For centuries the area was renowned for its dairy farms which kept London to the south supplied with milk. Tufnell Park was more fortunate than several of its neighbours. Whereas roads and railway lines were sliced through Kentish Town and Camden in the 19th century, they mostly passed through Tufnell Park in tunnel, and Junction Road railway station provided a direct link with central London.
